Rajesh denies doing Vijay's film
Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of Jilla. The 'Thuppakki' actor is next set to team up with director A.R. Murugadoss again after wrapping Jilla. Rumours were abuzz in K-Town that Vijay would be teaming up with director Rajesh of 'SMS' and 'OKOK' fame for a new project.
Director Rajesh who is currently busy with Karthi's 'All in All Azhagu Raja' (AAAR) has trashed the news as rumour. The director has clarified that he has not signed any new films as of now and will decide on his next after completing AAAR.
Jilla shooting spot
Thagararu reaches final schedule
Thagararu starring Arulnidhi and Poorna is directed by Ganesh Vinayak and produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's 'Cloud Nine Movies'. The film has reached the final schedule. The final schedule is happening in Chennai suburbs and the film will be wrapped in a week. Thagararu is likely to hit the screens in August. Music score by Ragunathan.
Vairamuthi pens for Dhanush
Dhanush's Bollywood debut film 'Raanjhanaa' is slated for a release on June 21. Sonam Kapoor plays the female lead. The film is directed by Anand L Rai and music by AR Rahman. The songs of the film have been getting good response from the audience.
The film will be released in Tamil as Ambikapathy. Vairamuthu will be penning the lyrics for the Tamil version. AR Rahman had tweeted, "Kavignar Vairamuthu has started penning the songs of Raanjhanaa in Tamil. It's amazing to collaborate with him again for Ambikapathi!"
Vedhika in Vasantha Balan's film
Vasanthabalan's 'Kaaviya Thalaivan' is a period film which is based upon the real life love story of KB Sundrambal and Kittappa. The pre-production work of the film is currently in progress. Siddharth, Anaika Soty and Prithviraj are reported to be part of the cast. The latest to join the list is Vedhika of 'Paradesi' fame. The producer of the film is likely to make an official announcement of the cast soon. The film is produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios. Music by AR Rahman.
Gautham and Lakshmi Menon to shake legs for a peppy song
The first schedule of 'Sippai' directed by Saravanan of ‘Silambattam’ fame starring Gautham Karthik and Lakshmi Menon was wrapped recently. The team is set to begin the next schedule on June 5 in the city. The schedule with last till June 20. A peppy campus song will be canned during this schedule. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Shruthi Haasan's 'Balupu' Trailer
'Balupu' is a Telugu film starring Ravi Teja, Anjali and Shruthi Haasan in lead roles directed by Gopichand Malineni. The audio of the film was launched on June 1 and the film is set to hit the screens on June 21. Music score by Thaman. Param V Potluri is producing this movie under the banner of PVP Cinemas.
