Earlier this year, we had reported about the legal tussle between Baahubali producers Arka Media Works and one of the film's Tamil Nadu distributors, K Productions. It was suggested at that time that K productions owed Rs. 17. 6 Cr. in pending payment to the producers of Baahubali: the Conclusion.
We had also reported yesterday that one of K Productions' project Sindhubaadh, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Anjali will not be releasing on its proposed date of May 6, 2019. Now, it has been revealed that this is owing to the court stay Arka Media has obtained against the release of the film, citing the earlier due amount.
A copy of the stay order, dated May 9, 2019 is currently circulating on the internet which also reveals that K Productions' other film - Enai Noki Paayum Thota starring Dhanush can also not be released unless the amount is paid.
