Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal is turning 53 today. The actor is celebrating his birthday today in Chalakudy with Jilla team. Vijay, Mohanlal, Kajal Agarwal, Mahat Ragavendra and Poornima Bhagyaraj are part of Jilla directed by Nesan. The film shooting is currently in progress. Music by Imman.

Yuvan for director Ram's next

'Katradhu Tamizh' fame director Ram's next film is tentatively titled 'Tharamani'. Andrea has been roped in to play the lead role in the film. Music by Yuvan. The film is an IT based love story. The director is also awaiting the release of his second film 'Thangameengal' produced by Gautham Menon.

Sippai first schedule wrapped

The first schedule of 'Sippai', starring Gautham Karthik and Lakshmi Menon has been wrapped up. Gautham Karthik had tweeted "And that's a wrap! 'Sippai' first schedule done! What a blast! Looking forward to starting 2nd schedule soon!" The movie is directed by Saravanan of 'Silambattam' fame. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

KSS Single track release

Kalyana Samayal Saadham (KSS) starring Prasanna and Lekha Washington is a hilarious comedy film centered around a big fat south Indian wedding. A single track 'Mella Siriththai' from KSS sung by Haricharan and Chinmayi will be released on Friday (May 24). KSS is directed by R. S. Prasanna. Music by Arrora.

Producer C.V. Kumar's new spin-offs

Producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainments is happy with the overwhelming response of Soodhu Kavvum. The producer who tasted success with Attakathi, Pizza and the recent release Soodhu Kavvum is all set to produce two more new films apart from Pizza 2 and Pattinam - The City.

CV Kumar has finalised two short films Elan's 'V-Chithiram' and Ram's 'Mundasupatti' which will be made into feature films.  Simha of Soodhu Kavvum and Neram fame will play the lead in 'V-Chithiram' to be directed by Elan.
