Taapsee joins Ajith-Vishnu film

The final leg of shooting of Ajith-Vishnu film is happening in Kulu Manali. Taapsee Pannu will be joining the team for the final schedule. The 'Aadukalam' actor had tweeted, "Now off to shoot some interesting thrilling sequences for Ajith Vishnu film. Going to meet the ever so fun cast and crew. This one is with full cast!" Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee play the lead roles. Music by Yuvan. The film is produced by A.M. Ratnam.

Anirudh denies turning a hero

A section of media had reported yesterday that music director Anirudh will be debuting as a hero in a movie, which would be directed by Elred Kumar. However, Anirudh has denied the reports and he had tweeted "I'm not acting in Elred Kumar's film. I've committed to him for music direction for another project."

Priya Anand joins Vai Raja Vai

Priya Anand has joined the team of 'Vai Raja Vai', which has Gautham Karthik in the lead. The movie is directed by Aishwarya Dhanush. Confirming the news, Priya Anand had tweeted "Looking forward to 'Vai Raja Vai', my 3rd film with a lady director!" Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and camera is cranked by Velraj. The film is produced by AGS Entertainment.

'Sigaram Thodu' first schedule wrapped

The first schedule of Sigaram Thodu starring Vikram Prabhu and Monal Gajjar has been wrapped. The film directed by Gourav is produced by UTV. Music by Imman. Vikram Prabhu will be next joining Ivan Veramathiri team for the last schedule. Ivan Veramathiri is directed by Saravanan of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame.

Nithya Menon in 22 Female Kottayam remake

Actor Sripriya is set to don the director’s hat again. The path breaking Malayalam movie of 2012, 22 Female Kottayam, is to be remade in Tamil and Telugu. Sripriya will be directing the remake. 22FK as the film was popularly called was a massive hit in Kerala and won quite a few awards for all the lead actors. Nithya Menon of 180 and Veppam fame will play the lead role in this heroine centric film. The film will be produced by Sripriya’s husband, Rajkumar Sethupathy.

Sripriya had earlier directed four films, two in Tamil and two in Kannada. She had also been successful as the creator of a few television serials.

Shruthi Haasan's D-Day Teaser

The action drama D-Day, directed by Nikhil Advani and starring Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Shruti Haasan and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles will hit the theaters on July 19th. Checkout the first look teaser of the film!
