Vijay Sethupathi on a signing spree
Vijay Sethupathi is one actor who is currently on a roll in Kollywood. After a hat-trick success with recent Soodhu Kavvum, he has signed a new film titled Vasantha Kumaran. The film will be directed by debutant Anand kumar, a good friend of Vijay sethupathi. Lakshmi Menon has been approached to play the female lead in this romantic film. Santhosh Narayanan of Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum fame will be scoring the music. The film will start rolling from October. Studio 9 Production will be producing the film.
Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming projects include Rummy, Pannayarum Padminiyum, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Bangalore Thamizhan and Sangudevan. Vijay Sethupathi will be producing Sangudevan on a first copy basis for JSK Film Corporation.
Trisha's new film starts rolling
Trisha has signed a new film in Tamil to be directed by Pandian who had earlier directed ‘Priyam’ starring Arun Vijay. Trisha, Poonam Bajwa and Oviya play the lead roles in this female centric film. The film is about the emotional bond between three friends despite several issues in their lives. The film launch happened at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The film’s first schedule will begin tomorrow and will go on till May 21.
Thambi Ramaiah and director Samuthirakani play crucical roles in the film. Music by Imman. PVR Raju is producing the film under H Productions banner.
Two movies, One banner!
Nalanum Nandhiniyum starring Michael and Nanditha in lead roles and Sutta Kadhai starring the trio of Balaji, Venky and Lakshmipriya is produced by Ravinder Chandrasekar of Libra Productions. Vendhar Movies which distributed Ethir Neechal will be releasing these two films. The audio launch of both the films will happen at The Victoria Hall, Geneva in Switzerland on June 1.
Nalanum Nandhiniyum is directed by debutant Venkatesh and music by Aswath. Sutta Kadhai is directed by debutant Subu.
Vasanth's 'MPMK' cut short
Vasanth’s Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal which hit the screens on May 1 opened to mixed reviews from the audience for its slow paced narration. The director has now decided to trim the film by 16 minutes to make the film more engaging. The film with the running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes has now been shortened by 16 mins.
Mysskin's film nearing completion
Director Mysskin is busy shooting for 'Onaayum Aatukuttiyum' which is produced by his own production house Lone Wolf Productions. Sree of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame plays the lead. Mysskin is said to have completed about 70% of the film and is planning to wrap the remaining portions in a single schedule. The film is likely to hit the screens in July or August. Music by Ilayaraja.
Taapsee's 'Sahasam' Trailer
Sahasam is an upcoming Telugu film starring Gopichand and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Chandrasekhar Yeleti has directed this action adventure film which narrates the story of a common man who goes on a treasure hunt. The film is produced by BVSN Prasad. Checkout the trailer of the film!
