Zam Zam is the Malayalam remake of Bollywood's super-hit blockbuster Queen. Manjima Mohan plays the leading lady in the Malayalam version and her character name in the film is Zama Nazreen. The film directed by G Neelakanta Reddy and produced by Mani Kumaran. The original film was directed by Vikas Bahl, who was accused of sexual harassment in the MeToo India movement, leading to the dissolvement of a major production company in Bollywood. 

The original film, released in 2014, was a blockbuster hit and won lead actor Kangana Ranaut the National Award for Best Actress.
