Siddharth Vasantha Balan's film to kickstart in July
Siddharth is set to team up with director Vasantha Balan for a bilingual film to be made in Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil version has been titled 'Kaaviya Thalaivan'. A.R. Rahman will be scoring the music. The film will be produced by Sashikanth of YNOT studios who had earlier produced films like Thamizh Padam, Va and KSY.
Sasikanth has updated on his microblog on the status of 'Kaaviya Thalaivan'. He had tweeted, “Kaaviya Thalaivan Pre-Production work in full swing. Shoot will Start from July. Official Cast & Crew announcement soon”
Akon's Kuthu step for Love Anthem
Internation singer Akon is in town to record for Simbu's Love Anthem. Simbu and Akon shot for the music video yesterday. The duo were also seen in a traditional attire for a particular sequence. Akon had also tried the Kuthu step for the album. Simbu who is extremely happy to have collaborated with Akon had tweeted, "Done with the shoot! Thanks to Akon such a great person.Wonderful human being. He has tried our kuthu step and he just rocked it"
Jilla's cameraman replaced
The shooting of Vijay's next film Jilla is all set to begin this month. There seems to be a slight change in the technical crew. Cinematographer Natraj aka Natty has been replaced by R.Ganesh due to date issues as he is currently busy with Pistol (Thuppakki Hindi remake). R. Ganesh has previously worked in films like Urudhi Mozhi, Enakku 20 Unakku 18 and Aadhavan.
Vijay, Kajal Agarwal and Mohanlal play the lead roles. The film is to be directed by Nesan and music by Imman. Jilla will be produced by R.B. Chowdary.
Sony to acquire Thalaivaa audio rights?
Vijay has finally wrapped Thalaivaa shooting. Thalaivaa is one of the expected films and the fans are eagerly awaiting the release. The latest buzz is Sony Music is in talks with the producer of the film Chandraprakash Jain to acquire the audio rights of Thalaivaa. The deal is yet to be finalized. The audio launch date will be decided only after the deal is made. G.V. Prakash has scored the music. The film is directed by A.L. Vijay.
Khusboo's special cameo in TVSK
Theeya Vela Seiyyanum Kumara (TVSK) is a comedy caper directed by Sundar C starring Siddharth, Hansika, Santhanam and Ganesh Venkatraman. The film is set to hit the screens in June. Khusboo who is producing the film has made a special came appearance in a song along with the entire cast of the film. Music by Sathya. UTV is jointly producing the film.
