Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 directed by Shankar is gearing up for a massive release worldwide on November 29, 2018. The film is set to have a wide release in 140 locations in Malaysia where Rajinikanth has a solid fan base. Previously Rajinikanth's Kaala also released in 140 locations while Kabali release in 133 locations in Malaysia. DMY Creations is releasing the film in Malaysia. The 3D version of 2Point0 is releasing in 40 cinemas.

Rajinikanth's Kabali which collected MYR 12.58 million holds the record for the highest grossing Tamil movie and trade is predicting that 2.0 will set a new record in Malaysia.
