Actor Bobby Simha made quite the headlines a while ago when he took up a project based on the now deceased Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. Today being Prabhakaran's 64th birth anniversary, a first look poster of this film, which has been titled Seerum Puli (The Raging Tiger) has been unveiled.
Seerum Puli is directed by G. Venkatesh Kumar, a former assistant of director Balu Mahendra and is bankrolled by Studio 18. It is worth mentioning here that Venkatesh Kumar's earlier work Neelam, was banned by the CBFC as it was based on the Sri Lankan Civil War and the board thought that the film might affect the India-Sri Lanka relationship.
