Actor Bobby Simha who was last seen in Saamy Square and whose role is highly anticipated in Rajinikanth's Petta, has made waves by himself by taking up a project in which he will be seen playing the former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. This said project has been titled Seerum Puligal and will be a biopiv on the now deceased Prabhakaran.
Seerum Puligal will be directed by G. Venkatesh Kumar, a former assistant of director Balu Mahendra and will be bankrolled by Studio 18. It is worth mentioning here that Venkatesh Kumar's earlier work Neelam, was banned by the CBFC as it was based on the Sri Lankan Civil War and the board thought that the film might affect the India-Sri Lanka relationship.
