Vijay Sethupathi becomes the brand ambassador of the Kabbadi Team Tamil Thalaivas

One of the biggest non-cricketing sporting leagues of India, Pro Kabaddi has given resurgence to the game of our soil, Kabaddi. Pro Kabaddi has provided the stage to many young talents who aspire of making it to the big stage one day. The sixth season of VIVO Pro Kabaddi will begin in Chennai on October 5, 2018, and will travel across 13 cities, with the final showdown in Mumbai on January 5th, 2019

 

The opening day will witness the clash of Kabaddi giants, Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas. Vijay Sethupathi has been made the ambassador of the Kabaddi team 'Tamil Thalaivas' for the sixth season of Pro Kabbadi League (PKL). 

 

The Tamil Thalaivas Team unveiled their 19-member squad in a glittering ceremony organised by the official broadcasters yesterday. Vijay Sethupathi who has been roped in as the face of PKL in Tamil Nadu was also present at the event. "I have played the sport at a very young age. This is our game. I am thankful (to the organisers) for getting me on board. I hope kabaddi will receive a strong backing in the coming years from the fans," the actor said. He also shared the news on his Twitter page.

 

Tamil Thalaivas is a Kabaddi team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is owned by Nimmagadda Prasad and former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar, Actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan and also Allu Aravind. Tamil Thalaivas play their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Chennai), Tamil Nadu. While the Thalaivas jersey was predominantly yellow in colour during its debut season (2017), the franchise has opted for a makeover, to dark blue.
