Vijay in Baadshah Tamil remake?

Vijay is currently busy shooting for Thalaivaa in Australia. After wrapping Thalaivaa shoot the actor is set to begin shooting for his next film Jilla which is likely to kickstart from the second week of May. The latest news doing the rounds in Kollywood is Vijay is likely to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of Telugu film Baadshah.

Baadshah starring Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal has got a grand opening at Box Office and the film is doing good business. The Tamil remake rights have been purchased by south India's leading producer Prasad Potluri of PVP Cinemas. Vijay who is interested in the project will take a call after he comes back from Australia.

Lakshmi Menon opposite Gautham Karthik

Gautham Karthik is all set to begin work on his next film to be directed by Saravanan of ‘Silambattam’ fame. Lakshmi Menon of 'Kumki' fame will play the female lead. The film is set to go on floors from May 25. A photo shoot was done with the lead pair Gautham Karthik and Lakshmi Menon. Director Saravanan had tweeted, “Did photo shoot with Gowtham Karthik and Laxmi Menon. Expect first look ASAP” Gautham will play a college student in this youthful entertainer.

Gautham Menon to launch Anirudh?

Music director Anirudh is expected to make his acting debut very soon and the movie would be directed by Vignesh Shiva of 'Podaa Podi' fame. The buzz is that Gautham Menon will be producing this venture and Anirudh himself will be composing music. An official announcement is expected to be made soon.

Siddharth and Hansika off to Japan

Sundar C's comedy caper 'Theeya Vela Seiyyanum Kumaru' is set to hit the screens in May. Siddharth, Hansika, Santhanam and Ganesh Venkatraman play the lead roles in TVSK. The team which is shooting in a rapid pace to wrap the film has now left to Japan to shoot two songs. Khusboo who is producing the film has tweeted, "Team of TVSK has flown to the picture perfect locales of Toyama, Japan. Sathya has tuned in some super songs and Shobi is choreographing" The film is jointly produced by UTV.

Agalathey song chopped from Settai

Director Kannan's 'Settai' released last week and the movie has opened to mixed reviews. The makers have now removed 'Agalathey' song from the film as that song appears at a critical juncture and thereby, it affects movie's pace. Aurangzeb trailer

The trailer of actor Arjun Kapoor's second movie Aurangzeb is out. The 'Ishaqzaade' actor has a double role in the movie directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Yash Raj Films. The multi-starrer film is based in Gurgaon and features Mollywood actor Prithviraj, Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Amrita Singh in pivotal roles along with Arjun Kapoor. The film will be releasing on May 17, 2013.
