Sid Sriram - The voice behind viral tracks Adiye to Inkem Inkem Kaavaale

This was the reaction of Geetha Govindam star Vijay Deverakonda, when the song Inkem Inkem Kaavaale went viral within a short time of the song getting launched. This tweet indicated that Deverakonda was attributing the success of the song to the vocals behind it - Sid Sriram. Interestingly, not many were there to dispute this fact and went equally crazy in the comments section (as they have been from time to time) about their favourite singer Sid. So what makes this Indian origin US bred singer so desirable is what exactly we are here to analyze today.

Right from the word go, Sid Sriram's songs have been one chart-buster after the other and besides his mesmerizing vocals, his talent being utilized repeatedly by A.R. Rahman may have a little to do with it. A recent interview of the singer reveals that A.R.R. launched Sid through Adiye** only post an email and a week's time and while the singer was still in the final year of his music college. Today, Sid's resume boasts of 9 songs under A.R.R.'s compositions, 7 of which he has re-created in Telugu as well. And be it Ennodu Nee Irundhaal**  from IMei Nigara** from 24, Sachin Sachin from Sachin: A Billion DreamsMaacho from Mersal, Enthira Logathu Sundariyae 2.0 or the sensational hit Thalli Pogathey, all of these songs have been versatile and abundant in popularity.

Sid who is a trained carnatic singer has also given equally addictive hit numbers under other musicians and the songs Ennai Maatrum Kaadhalae** (Anirudh), Maruvaarthai (Darbuka Siva), Kurumba (Imman), High On Love** (Yuvan Shankar Raja) and Inkem Inkem Kaavaale (Gopi Sunder) stand proof of the same. Today the 28 year old singer who spends only 6 months a year in the country enjoys a huge fan-base from all over and they do not seem one bit bothered by the fact that most of his songs are towards the melodious side. But Sid hopes to change that soon or so indicates a recent interview of his, where he expresses interest to sing a 'Kuthu' song.

His mesmerizing voice, his soothing yet enjoyable tracks and his rise from a college talent to the most sought after singer in the South Indian film industry is what makes Sid Sriram a name to reckon with.  MovieCrow wishes the singer more power to go onward and upward.
