Lakshmi Menon pairs up with Vishal

Lakshmi Menon has been roped in to play opposite Vishal in director Suseenthiran's next film. The movie has been titled 'Pandianadu' and Vishal will be producing the film under his banner 'Vishal Film Factory'. The film is set in Madurai and it is touted to be a revenge thriller.

Music is by Imman. The movie will start rolling from May 14. Meanwhile, Vishal is currently acting in 'Pattathu Yaanai', directed by Boopathy Pandian.

Mankatha 2 on the cards?

Ajith's project with Siva of 'Siruthai' fame went on floors yesterday at Hyderabad. Coincidentally, 'Biriyani' shoot is also progressing at Hyderabad. Venkat Prabhu, Premgi Amaren and cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan had spent some time with Ajith yesterday. This has paved way for fresh rumours about 'Mankatha 2'. We need to wait for some official announcement in this regard.

Ace director Mani Ratnam and legendary music composer Ilaiyaraja have given plenty of chartbusters together, before they parted ways. The buzz is that the duo had met recently in Mumbai, and the meeting was arranged by Bollywood director Balki. Are they joining hands again? Too early to say that!
