Mariyaan First look on March 29
Mariyaan starring Dhanush and Parvathi Menon in lead roles is directed by Bharath Bala. The film shooting has been wrapped and is slated for a summer release. The official First Look of the film will be released tomorrow (March 29). Mariyaan means a man who never dies. The story of the film is about human survival. A.R. Rahman has scored the music.

Biriyani is Europe bound
Venkat Prabhu is all set to begin the next schedule of Biriyani at Hyderabad from March 31. Karthi will wrap the first schedule of Rajesh's 'All in All Azhagu Raja' and will join Biriyani team in Hyderdabad. The team is planning to shoot two songs in exotic locales of Europe in May. Venkat Prabhu has zeroed in on Spain and Portugal for canning the songs. Karthi, Hansika and Premgi Amaren play the lead roles in Biriyani. Music by Yuvan.
Red Gaint bags 'Neram'
Red Gaint Movies has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Neram. Udhayanidhi Stalin has confirmed the news in his microblog. Neram is a Malayalam / Tamil bilingual film starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim in the lead. Nazriya Nazim is playing the lead opposite Dhanush in Sargunam's 'Nayyandi' and pairs with Jai in 'Thirumanan Ennum Nikkah'.
Neram is directed by debutant Alphonse Putharen under the banner of Winner bulls films. Music by debutant Rajesh Murugesan. The film release date will be announced soon.
Location change for Irandam Ulagam?
Arya, Selvaragavan and his team who had left to Uzbekistan to shoot some key climax scenes and a song sequence for Irandam Ulagam is said to have returned back to Chennai. The team had some difficulties in shooting in certain locations due to visa issues and couldn't complete the shoot as planned.
The latest we hear is that Selvaragavan is continuing the shoot in a huge set erected in ECR near Mahabalipuram. A song is currently being canned. Arya, Anushka play the lead roles. Music by Harris Jayaraj.
Vikram moved by Paradesi
Actor Vikram was moved after watching Bala’s critically acclaimed film Paradesi. The actor who was very impressed with the film immediately met director Bala and heaped praises for his meticulous efforts. The actor has also expressed his interest in working together with Bala again. It was director Bala who gave a boost to Vikram’s career through his films ‘Sethu’ and ‘Pithamagan’.
Sanjay Dutt says 'have not applied for any pardon'
Actor Sanjay Dutt broke down while addressing the media and has said that he has not applied for a pardon and would abide by the decision of the Supreme Court. Supreme Court has given him four weeks to surrender and he would serve the rest of his five-year sentence under the Arms Act for illegal possession of weapons in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. He also said , "I have a lot of work to finish. I would also like to spend some days with my family."
Sanjay Dutt is now shooting for K.S. Ravikumar’s Policegiri, which is the Hindi remake of Vikram's Saamy.
Come na Come song from Soodhu Kavvum
The audio of Soodhu Kavvum was launched yesterday. Vijay Sethupathy and Sanchitha Shetty play the lead in this thriller film directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. Music by Santhosh Narayanan of Pizza fame. The film is likely to hit the screens on May 3.
