Gautham Karthik in a Telugu remake film?

Gautham Karthik who made an impressive debut with Kadal is said to have signed a new film which is the remake of a Telugu film titled 'Ala Modalaindi'. Nani and Nithya Menon played the lead roles in the Telugu version. The film is to be produced by Ravi Prasad Productions and directed by Ravi Thyagarajan. Music by Imman. However an official confirmation is awaited. 

Gautham has reportedly been roped in as the lead in Aishwariya Dhanush's next film to be produced by AGS. The Kadal actor has also signed a film to be directed by Saravan of Silambattam fame.

Parthiban plays a bus driver

Jannal Oram is the Tamil remake of Malayalam film Ordinary directed by Karu Pazhaniappan starring Parthiban, Vimal, Vidharth, Poorna and Manisha Yadav. The story is about a bus driver and conductor and their everyday journey on the bus. The bus travels from Palani to Pannakaadu and there are villagers who regularly travel by it. There is an unexpected turn of events. Parthiban  plays the role of a bus driver played by Biju Menon in the original. Parthiban is next set to direct a film titled 'Kathai-Thiraikkathai-Vasanam-Iyakkam'.

Sasikumar's Kutti Puli gears up for release

Sasikumar's upcoming film Kutti Puli is slated for a release in April. The post production work is happening in full swing and the film is to be censored soon. The audio of Kutti Puli will be launched in the first week of April. Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon play the lead roles. The film is directed by Muthaiah and produced by S. Muruganandam. Music by Ghibran of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame.

Veteran actress Sukumari passes away

Veteran actress Sukumari, who has acted in more than 2500 films, passed away yesterday due to cardiac arrest. Earlier, she had sustained burns in a fire accident and was admitted in a private hospital. She has won many awards including National Award and Padma Shri Award. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of the veteran actress.

Bombay Talkies Trailer

'Bombay Talkies' is a combination of four short films made by Bollywood's renowned directors, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee. Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Katrina Kaif play the lead roles. The movie is slated for release on May 3. Check out the trailer of the film!

Thoofan Telugu movie Trailer

Thoofan is a remake of 1973 Hindi film Zanjeer starring Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles. The film is being simultaneously shot in Hindi (Zanjeer) and Telugu (Thoofan). Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Shrihari and Tanikela Bharani are part of the cast. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie is set to hit the screens on 10th May.
