As is known, Kamal Haasan starrer Vishwaroopam 2 which reeked of patriotism in its poster, working stills and trailer releases will be will be hitting theatre screens on August 10, 2018, just in time for Independence day that follows that weekend. Now, word has it that Vikram starrer Saamy Square which is another sequel of a super-hit franchise will also be releasing in the same month as opposed to its very initial plans of Ramzan, that just went by. Though there is no official confirmation to this, if true then August will be a month of powerhouse releases for both Vikram and Kamal Haasan are having their first releases this year at that time.
While Vishwaroopam 2 will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Hindi too, Saamy Square will see Vikram playing dual roles. The former is directed and produced by Kamal Haasan and will be released in association with Eros International. Saamy Square on the other hand is a directorial venture of Hari and is produced by Shibu Thameens.
