The audio launch of actor-director S.A. Chandrasekar's (SAC) upcoming film Traffic Ramasamy was held recently and director Shankar who has assisted SAC in his earlier days and has also directed SAC's son Vijay in Nanban was one of the special guests at the event. It was here that Shankar revealed that he had his eyes on this real-life story of a man named Traffic Ramasamy and how his endeavors had lead him to the idea of Shankar making a movie with Superstar Rajinikanth. But apparently just when Shankar had begun to play with the idea, it was announced that the idea has been taken and SAC had been signed on to play the lead.

"Traffic Ramasamy is an inspiring character in real life. Whoever violates the rules, he is the one who strives to fight against it. I've been amazed while reading news about him; There will be a heroism. In my mind, I've clapped many times. I wanted to make a movie of an inspiring guy like this...Traffic Ramasamy's character is a 'Indian' who does not take a knife, an aged 'ambi' from Anniyan. He gives so much inspiration that once I even thought that I'll make his story with Rajini. I thought it would be a age-appropriate character for him. But, that bus was missed when the announcement that SAC was acting in this movie was made."

Traffic Ramasamy is produced by Green Signal Productions and is directed by Vicky. Also starring actress Rohini, Ambika, R.K. Suresh and Prakash Raj among others, the film has Balamurali Balu for music and is expected to hit theatre screens by this year.
