Dhansika teams up with Vijay Sethupathi
Actress Dhansika is on cloud nine as she has garnered huge appreciation for her performance in Bala's 'Paradesi'. The Peranmai actor has reportedly signed a new film to be produced by JSK Film Corporation. Dhansika will be playing the lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the film titled 'Sangudevan'.
The film will be directed by Sudhakar, a former assistant of director Hari. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised. The film will start rolling in May. Dhansika's upcoming projects include Ya Ya and Vizhithiru.

What’s special about Biriyani audio launch?
Biriyani is directed by Venkat Prabhu starring Karthi, Premgi Amaran and Hansika in lead roles. The makers are planning a grand audio launch for the film as Biriyani marks Yuvan’s 100th film as music composer. The team has decided to invite many top music composers from Mollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood for the audio launch event to honour Yuvan for reaching a new milestone. The audio launch is likely to happen in May. The next schedule of Biriyani will begin by the end of this month at Hyderabad. The film is produced by Studio Green.
Sanjay Dutt gets 5 years in jail
Sanjay Dutt has been convicted by the Supreme Court in the Arms Act case that he was booked under in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. His sentence was reduced from six to five years in jail. Sanjay Dutt, who has served 18 months in jail, will now have to spend another 3 years and 6 months in jail. The Supreme Court said that the circumstances and nature of offence was so serious that Sanjay Dutt cannot be released on probation.
Kirutiga begins next schedule
The next schedule of Kirutiga Udhayanidhi's debut film with Shiva and Priya Anand in lead roles started today. The film is a romantic comedy produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Priya Anand has tweeted, "On my way to shoot with Kirutiga Udayanidhi. I can't wait because this schedule is filled with all my favourite scenes from the film!!" Music by Anirudh. The film title is expected to be revealed soon.
Stay for Lingusamy's film
Yashraj films filed a case against makers of Telugu film ‘Jabardasth’ which is said to be an unauthorised remake of Yash Raj films Band Baaja Baaraat in Delhi court. The court gave a stay in this regard favouring Yashraj films. YRF has come out with an official press release.
In the statement: "Yash Raj filed a private suit against M/s Sri Sai Ganesh Production, Hyderabad, Tirupati Broithers Private Ltd, Chennai & Ms Nandhini Reddy Hyderabad.
Yash Raj requested a stay on Jabardasth‘s Tamil version release titled ‘Dum Dum Pee Pee’ and release of DVD’s, VCD’s, Blue-ray & Satellite & other electronic platforms. The Delhi court gave a temporary stay on film release in all platforms and its Tamil version too."
