Keerthy Suresh, who played the role of Savitri in the biopic Mahanati, and the entire team was felicitated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday.

Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri hit the sceens on May 9 worldwide. Keerthy Suresh who played the titular role of Savitri is on cloud nine as she has been showered with praises for her performance from critics, fraternity and the audience alike. 

The latest to join the list is the Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He felicitated the team along with Savitri’s daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari, Keerthy Suresh at the felicitation thanked her team and said, “Everybody has been a great support. I would love to thank my team, co artistes and the media.” She also addressed the CM and said, “Thank you so much for having us here sir. I am short on words as I didn’t know I would be speaking here today.”

Starring Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda and several others, the film has been directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi movies. The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam.
