Jilla to roll from May

Vijay's next film Jilla was launched officially yesterday. Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Agarwal play the lead roles. Mahat Ragavendra, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Thambi Ramaiah, Brahmanandam and Suri play supporting cast. The film is directed by Nesan and music by Imman.

The director had revealed during the launch that the film is set in backdrop of Madurai. The film will start rolling in May. The first schedule of the film will happen in Chennai. Huge sets are being erected in the city for the first schedule. The film is slated for a Pongal release next year. Jilla is produced by R. B. Chowdary.

Boologam reaches final schedule

Boologam starring Jayam Ravi and Trisha in lead roles is inching towards completion. The final schedule of shoot is currently happening in the city. Jayam Ravi plays a boxer in the film. Boologam is directed by Kalyana Krishnan and promises lot of action.

The team had recently shot a folk number based on the unique traditions known as “Masana Kollai”. Music by Srikanth Deva. A major action sequence was recently shot in Thiruvannamalai. The film is produced by Aascar Ravichandran and would be Jayam Ravi’s next release. 

Vishwaroopam 2 - High on Emotion

Kamal who is extremely happy with the response to his magnum opus Vishwaroopam has started work on Vishwaroopam 2. Kamal Hassan in a recent interview had thrown some light on Vishwaroopam 2. The sequel will be entirely shot in India and the emotional quotient in the movie would be high. The story will also have a mother-son angle. The core cast and characters would remain the same while there may be additional new cast. Pooja Kumar, Andrea and Rahul Bose are part of the cast.

Vijay Sethupathy's IAB starts rolling

The pooja of Vijay Sethupathi's next film 'Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara' (IAB) was held yesterday. The film has started rolling and the shooting is happening in the city. Ashwin Kakumanu of Mankatha fame is also playing the lead in the film along with Vijay Sethupathi. 

Swathi of 'Subramaniapuram' fame and Nandita of 'Attakathi' fame play the leading ladies and Parotta Soori plays a crucial role. The film is directed by Gokul of 'Rowthiram' fame. Madhan Karky has penned the dialogues.

Making of Settai

Settai, directed by Kannan, is an upcoming comedy entertainer. Arya, Hansika, Anjali, Premji and Santhanam play the lead roles. The movie is slated for release on April 5. Watch the making of film here!
