MovieCrow had earlier reported that Anjali will be pairing opposite Vijay Sethupathi for a new film. The new project has been launched officially. Anjali took to her Twitter page to announce her new project. She wrote:

Vijay Sethupathi and Anjali will be teaming up for the second time after 'Iraivi'. The film is directed by SU Arun Kumar who had earlier directed films like Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. The duo are coming together for the third time. Yuvan Shankar Raja who is scoring the music will also be co-producing the film. The film is produced by Rajarajan of K Productions. The yet-to-be-titled project is touted be an action entertainer.
