Ravi K Chandran, Cinematographer for 7am Arivu, saw the digital print of 7aam Arivu and called the experience as magical. He claimed that the film is going to be a landmark film for Suriya as he used his body and eyes so well to carry this film's character so convincingly. He called that it was a treat to watch Shruti rock with her professional performance. He also said villain Johnny is here to stay.

Ravi appreciated Murugadoss for his screenplay, dialogues and new kind of storyline. Ravi called Peter Hein's stunts are of international standards and called him a visionary. He said the CG works blends the original visuals with the created ones so well that he even he could not tell the difference.
