A.R. Murugadoss confirms Vijay's project

A.R. Murugadoss confirms Vijay's project

Moviecrow earlier reported that the successful combo of Vijay and A.R. Murugadoss are teaming up again for a new project in 2014. Director A.R. Murugadoss has now confirmed that he would be doing a project with Vijay after completing Thuppaki in Hindi. The director didn't divulge much details about the new project but has clarified that it will not be a sequel to Thuppakki. Vijay is currently shooting in Mumbai for Thalaivaa directed by A. L. Vijay. He would then start shooting for Jilla to be directed by Nesan. The film is likely to go on floors in May.

Jai's new project starts rolling

Jai has started shooting for his new project tentatively titled as 'Saraswathi Sabatham'. The film also starring Sathyan and VTV Ganesh went on floors yesterday. The film touted to be a comedy entertainer is directed by debutant Chandru and is produced by AGS Entertainments. Saraswathi Sabatham will be the 14th film to be produced by AGS Entertainments.

Arya and Magizh Thirumeni deny rumours

Director Magizh Thirumeni of 'Thadaiyara Thaakka' fame has denied reports of him doing a film with Arya and Samantha in the lead roles.  The director has stated that he is still working on the script and has not approached anyone with it. He is expected to reveal more details, once the project gets finalized.

Actor Arya on the other hand has also denied the news as false as he has not heard any new script. The actor is focussed on completing his current projects Settai, Valai, Irandam Ulagam and Raja Rani before signing new projects.

Anirudh's next album in March

Anirudh is happy with the response for his album 'Ethir Neechal' starring Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand in lead roles. His single 'Kanave Kanave' and 'Yun Hi Re' from David also garnered good response from the audience. The young composer is now composing for Kiruthiga Udayanidhi's debut film starring Shiva and Priya Anand in lead roles. Anirudh had said, "Krithika Udhayanidhi's directorial debut for Red Giants will be my next audio release. Audio will be out next month."

Lingusamy to remake Special Chabbis

Special Chabbis starring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Anupam Kher and Kajal Agarwal is a heist thriller directed by Neerja Pandey. The film has been declared a hit by the trade sources.

The latest we hear is director Lingusamy is keen in remaking the film in Tamil and has acquired the remake rights. The film will be jointly produced by Lingusamy’s 'Thirrupathy Brothers' and Neeraj Pandey’s 'Friday Filmworks'. An official announcement is expected shortly. 

Vijay Vasanth's 'Mathil Mel Poonai' Trailer

'Mathil Mel Poonai' is an action thriller directed by Bharani Jayapal starring Vijay Vasanth and Vibha Natarajan in the lead roles. Ganesh Raghavendra has composed the music for the film. Produced by Kannan, the film is set to hit the screens on March 8. Checkout the trailer of the film!
