Vijay's Thalaivaa gets a new cast
Vijay's Thalaivaa shoot is progressing well in Mumbai. The latest addition to the cast is Ragini Nandwani. Ragini Nandwani made her acting debut with the TV serial Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein and then made her debut as heroine in the film 'Dehraadun Diary'. The pretty lass has been roped in for a key role in Vijay's Thalaivaa. Ragini is all excited about her K-Town debut with Vijay.
Amala Paul plays the female lead. Music by G.V. Prakash. Thalaivaa is directed by A.L. Vijay and produced by Chandraprakash Jain. The Mumbai schedule is likely to be wrapped soon and the team will leave to Spain for the next schedule.
Mariyaan ready to take off
Dhanush has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming films Raanjhnaa and Mariyaan and has started shooting for his next film 'Nayyandi' directed by Sargunam. Director Bharath Bala who has directed Mariyaan starring Dhanush and Paravathy Menon has updated on the film's status. He has tweeted, "Mariyaan all set and ready to take off. Filming Complete. Post production in full swing. Watch Out. Promos Coming soon!" A. R. Rahman has scored the music.
Vijay Sethupathi as a middle-aged man
Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchithya Shetty play the lead roles in Soodhu Kavvum directed by Nalan Kumarasamy of Nalaya Iyakkunar fame. Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a 40-year-old man. The actor has taken all efforts to get into the skin of the character he is supposed to play. The Pizza actor has gained weight and grown his hair to look like a middle aged man.
The teaser of the film released recently has got good response from the audience. Music by Santhosh Narayanan. Zee TV has bagged the satellite rights of the film. Soodhu Kavvum is produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment and distributed by Studio Green.
Sundattam release postponed
Sundattam starring Irfan and newcomer Arundhathi in lead roles is written and directed by Brahma G Dev. The movie is based on the board game carrom. Britto has composed the music. The film which was initially slated for release on March 1 has now been postponed to March 8.
Ivan Veramathiri climax shoot
The shooting of Ivan Veramathiri starring Vikram Prabhu and newcomer Surabhi in lead roles is progressing in a brisk pace. The film is directed by Saravanan of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame. The climax shoot of the film is currently being canned at Padur on Old Mahabalipuram Road. The film will have a stunning climax which is the most crucial element of the film.
Dhanangayan of UTV has said, "Director Saravanan and the entire team is shooting on the 15th floor roof top for the climax shoot at Padur on OMR. For the first time an Aerial View remote controlled expensive camera and crew from Thailand are shooting the scenes with our team." The film is produced by Lingusamy and UTV.
