Arya to romance Samantha

Arya to romance Samantha

Arya has signed a new project with director Magizh Thirumeni of 'Thadayara Thakka' fame. The Vettai star will be pairing up with Samantha in this untitled project. Arya will play the role of a cop in this action entertainer while Samantha will play his love interest. Music score by S.S. Thaman. The film is likely to go on floors in March. Arya's upcoming projects include Settai, Irandam Ulagam, Valai (Ajith Vishnu film) and Raja Rani.

Ajith back to Chennai

Ajith who was in Dubai shooting for his upcoming film directed by Vishnuvaradhan has returned back to Chennai. The actor had shot some spectacular action sequences during the Dubai schedule. Director Vishnuvaradhan has tweeted, "Just returned from our Dubai schedule. Quite hectic and crazy fun. Ajith sir had to do some fabulous stuff."

The team has one more schedule to wrap the film. Music by Yuvan. Producer A.M. Ratnam has said that the film is likely to hit the screens in June or July depending on post-production. 

Mahat to work in Jilla?

It looks like Mahat Raghavendra is all set to play Vijay's brother in 'Jilla'. Mahat made his Kollywood debut with Ajith's 'Mankatha' and is now playing the lead role in a Telugu film titled 'Backbench student'. Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Agarwal play the lead roles in 'Jilla'. The movie will be directed by Nesan and is expected to go on floors in May.

Imman who is scoring the music has started working on the tunes. Lyricist Madhan Karky has tweeted, "Working on a peppy dance number for Jilla, my first with Imman." The film will be produced by R.B. Chowdary.

Dhanush proud of his Nayyandi team

Dhanush recently started shooting for his next project 'Nayyandi' directed by Sargunam. The film is a village based comedy. Dhanush is happy with the way the film shoot is progressing and has tweeted, "Amazed with director Sarkunam's precision and planning. 20 well made hilarious scenes in 4 days. Proud of team nayyandi." 

Nazriya Nazim plays the female lead. Hansika was earlier approached for the leading lady but couldn't sign the film due to unavailability of dates.

Siva Karthikeyan and Parotta Suri to rock together

Sivakarthikeyan has started shooting for his next film titled Neenga Nalla Varuveenga Boss, which is being directed by Pon Ram. Parotta Suri plays a key role in the film along with Siva Karthikeyan. The story revolves around two mischievous friends. Sri Vidhya plays the female lead, while Sathyaraj will be seen in a pivotal role. The first schedule of the film has been wrapped. The film is produced by P. Madhan

Nedunchalai First Look Teaser

'Nedunchalai' is an upcoming film, directed by Krishna of 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' fame. Aari and Shivada Nair play the lead roles. Music is by Sathya. Watch the first look teaser of the film!
