Rahman wins World Soundtrack Academy for the Public Choice award
AR Rahman wins yet another international award today. The World Soundtrack Academy announced tonight the winners of the World Soundtrack Awards 2011 at the closing event of the 38th Ghent International Film Festival. The Public Choice Award went to A.R. Rahman for the film 127 hours. AR Rahman thanked his fans for the support.
Other winners include Alexandre Desplat, who was chosen as Film Composer third time in a row. Hans Zimmer went home with the award for Best Original Film Score of the Year for Inception. Randy Newman received the World Soundtrack Award for Best Original Song Written for the film Toy Story 3.
