Actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna said the shooting of the biopic on his father and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) would begin on March 29 and it was given the title ‘NTR’. Balakrishna will be playing NTR in this film which is being directed by Teja. MM Keeravani will be scoring the music. The first schedule will be shot in Ramakrishna Cine Studios.

In a brief chat with media persons, Mr. Balakrishna said his target was to release the movie by Sankranti next year (January 2019). He also refuted the reports of making NTR biopic in connection with the politics and elections. 

The actor had earlier said that as part of preparations for his role, he has been watching a lot of world cinema and particularly biopics.
