Mamta Mohandas is making her comeback to Tamil Cinema with Oomai Vizhigal after seven years. Prabhu Deva plays the lead role. Incidentally it is the title of yesteryear Vijayakanth movie which was a blockbuster hit. The film is directed by Akash Sam, a 21 year old young talent. It is produced by Umesh, Sudhan Sundaram. Oomai Vizhigal shooting is in progress and the team is currently shooting in Ooty.

Mamta was last seen in Tadayara Thakka opposite Arun Vijay which hit the screens in 2012. She made her debut in Tamil with Sivapathikaram (2006). Mamta has also signed Parthiban’s new project Ulle Veliye 2 where she will be seen alongside Samuthrakani.
