No accident at Mariyaan shooting spot
There were reports earlier suggesting that Dhanush and Appukutty were involved in a boat accident while shooting for Bharat Bala's 'Mariyaan'. However, Dhanush has cleared the air by tweeting "The boat accident never happened. We went into the ocean. And the ocean took care of us very well. It's just a rumour." Parvathi Menon plays the leading lady in the film and music is by A. R. Rahman.

Arun Vijay's Deal on wrap-up mode
Arun Vijay's upcoming film 'Deal' is progressing at a brisk pace and is inching towards completion. The film is said to be a big-budget production and promises lot of action. Karthika Nair of 'Ko' fame plays the female lead. The film shooting is currently being held in a huge set erected in Saidapet. The film is directed by debutant Shivagnanam and produced by Feather Touch Entertainment. Music by Thaman.
Censor Board gets more strict on Aadhi Bhagavan
Aadhi Bhagavan starring Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra directed by Ameer is set to hit the screens on February 22. The film has been awarded an 'A' certificate. Jayam Ravi has said that the film had a tough time during the censorship process as the Censor Board had suddenly tightened the censor rules. He had tweeted, "Due to the problems faced by Viswaroopam and Kadal, the new strict rules of the censor board has been implemented on 'Aadhi Bhagavan'. As I have watched the film, there is no vulgarity. Maybe the mafia storyline is the reason for an A certificate."
Following the protests from few Hindu groups that the film's title hurt their sentiments, the Censor Board had asked director Ameer to change the film title as 'Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan'!
Aachamundu director's next with Mohanlal
Arun Vaidyanathan of 'Achchamundu Achchamundu' fame is set to direct a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal in the lead role. The film titled 'Peruchaazhi' would be a comedy caper. The film will go on floors by the end of this year. The film shooting will happen majorly in U.S. The pre-production work of the film is currently in progress.
Arun Vaidyanathan is also the producer of 'Kalyana Samayal Sadham' starring Prasanna and Lekha Washington in lead roles. He is expected to make an announcement regarding his next Tamil project soon.
