Kadal and Singam 2 land into trouble

Kamal's Viswaroopam is finally hitting the screens on February 7 after clearing all the hurdles. The latest we hear is Mani Ratnam's Kadal and Surya's Singam 2 have also landed into trouble similar to Vishwaroopam.
The Christhu Murthy Christian Democratic Party has filed a complaint with Chennai police commissioner S George against Kadal as they find the film 'anti-christian'. They have mentioned that there are few objectionable scenes in the film that hurt the sentiments of Christians and want them to be deleted from the film.
Meanwhile Surya's Singam 2 which is still in the making is now facing the wrath of a Muslim group. It is said Singam 2 has a Muslim baddie. Indeed, the villain will be seen in the role of a pirate of Somalia. This has angered the Muslim groups who urged the director to make necessary changes to the film.

'A' certificate for item songs
The Central Board of Film Certification has decided to issue 'A' certificate to all the films with item songs. This decision was taken as a follow-up to the Delhi gang rape case as the CBFC felt some strict measures has to be taken before the public anger boils over. This rule will apply for all Indian movies, and in Tamil Industry if a movie gets 'A' certificate, it will not be eligible for the state’s tax redemption.
The Hindi film industry has been facing the heat for portraying women in an objectionable manner after the heinous gang rape case in Delhi. This means that the film will not be screened in televisions without the item number being removed.
