The Tamil version Vishwaroopam has been banned in Tamil Nadu. The final verdict on the ban is expected to come out on February 6. Kamal Hassan who was expected to appeal to the Supreme court to release the movie earlier has now decided to wait for the verdict. He has said, "My friends in the industry are trying to help, by talking to the state government. For now I may wait before approaching the Supreme Court. I am hurt, but I am calm. "

Vishwaroop to release big in North India

The Hindi version of the film 'Vishwaroop' is set to hit the screens tomorrow (February 1) as announced earlier. The film is likely to release in more than 800 screens across the country which will be the widest solo release in Hindi for Kamal Haasan. The Hindi version of the film is distributed by Balaji Motion Pictures.

Aadhi Taapsee's MM to release in February

Maranthen Mannithen (Telugu: Gundello Godari) is an upcoming Tamil and Telugu bilingual film starring Aadi, Taapsee, Lakshmi Manchu in lead roles. Lakshmi Manchu who is also producing the film has announced the release date of the film. The Tamil version will hit the screens on February 22 while the Telugu version will hit the screens a day earlir on February 21. The film is set in the backdrop of 1986 Godavari river floods. Directed by Kumar Nagendra, music has been scored by Ilayaraja. 

Kamal requests fans to stay calm

Kamal Haasan urged his fans to remain calm after the Madras High Court reimposed a ban on his film "Vishwaroopam" yesterday. "Vishwaroopam is just a film, not worth a public agitation" Kamal Haasan told his fans.
