Velayudham promoters adopt unique promotion method

Velayudham is taking an aggressive promotion style in Chennai and the US. In the US for the first time in many years that a movie ticket price is set at $10/-. This is roughly 20% less than the usual ticket price. It has been a common practice for the US distributors to increase the ticket price to exorbitant amount for notable hero movies.  For Enthiran, the ticket price was $25 for the first day and $20 for the entire first week. It will be interesting to see whether the discounting of Velayudham tickets will put pressure on 7am Arivu, which has standard price of $12. 

In Chennai, there had been advertisements on a popular movie website saying that "Four First Day-First-Show Velayudham tickets in Chennai will get a free Thalapathy Briyani.
