Kadal rights bagged by Thirupathi Brothers

The distribution rights of Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' in Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore has been bagged by Lingusamy's 'Thirupathi Brothers'. The movie is all set to hit the screens on February 1.

Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair are making their debuts in this film. Music is by A. R. Rahman and cinematography is by Rajiv Menon.

After Rajinikanth, Ajith has now released a statement supporting Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam. Check out his statement below :

"The constitution of India declares India as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic republic assuring its citizens of justice, equality and liberty. Trend of the day is all the words have been cliched, misunderstood and misconstrued.

Secularism - a system of political or social philosophy that rejects all forms of religious faith and worship. Is India a Secular nation or being played on the basis of vote bank politics. Democracy and Secularism are being misunderstood as cliched words that are just adjectives for our nation. Time we lend our ears to the actual values that the country lives for."

Ravi K Chandran impressed with Harris Jayaraj's Yaan tune

Jiiva's Yaan, directed by cinematographer-turned-director is gearing up for a month long shooting schedule in Mumbai. Music director Harris Jayaraj has composed the first tune for the film.

Ravi K Chandran is immensely happy with the tune and he had tweeted "Got a great tune for YAAN first song from our one and only Harris Jayaraj and its the opening song of the film also. It was a delight to watch Harris Jayaraj  composing the tune. Too excited to watch a birth of a song."
