Dhanush Sargunam film from February
Dhanush's 'Mariyaan' and 'Raanjhnaa' are in the final stages of shooting. Dhanush is set to begin his next project with Sargunam of 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' fame. The film titled 'Sotta Vazhakutty' is a hilarious village based script. The film is based in Kumbakonam and Dhanush will play the role of a brass lamp trader (Kuthu Vilakku). Dhanush had tweeted, "Starting Sargunam's film from Feb 2nd week. It will be an out and out commercial entertainer. Can't wait to do some comedy."

Lawrence's 'Muni 3' starts rolling
The third installment of Raghava Lawrence's horror series Muni will go on floors from today. Raghava Lawrence will act and direct this film. Taapsee is paired opposite him in the film. Muni 3 will be a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Taapsee who plays the female lead had tweeted, "Costume trials now and all set to begin the new bilingual project under Lawrence master's direction. The most challenging character to play! Starting my 15th project today here in Chennai."
Dhanush Vetrimaran project from May
Dhanush is set to team up with director Vetrimaran again after the stupendous success of 'Aadukalam'. The film will be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's 'Cloud Nine Movies'. Vetrimaran is currently busy with his maiden production venture 'Udhayam NH4' directed by his assisstant Manimaran. Vetrimaran had tweeted, "My directorial venture for Cloud Nine will start from May. Dhanush is to play the lead, as informed earlier." The rest of the details regarding the project are yet to be finalised.
Dhanush's soup song in Irandam Ulagam
Dhanush who gained immense popularity with his rocking Kolaveri number has sung another soup song in Selvaragavan's 'Irandam Ulagam'. Arya and Anushkha play the lead roles and Harris has scored the music. Selvaragavan had tweeted, "Yes. My bro sang a song and that's a beautiful soup song about husbands. Not lovers." The details of the audio launch is likely to be announced soon.
G. V. Prakash on his new venture
The young and talented music director G. V. Prakash Kumar is all set to turn a producer. He will be producing films under the banner 'GV Prakash Kumar Productions'. His first production venture will be directed by Vikram Sukumaran, a former assistant of Balu Mahendra.
The film is touted to be a revenge action film. Debutant Kathir and Oviya will play the lead roles in the film. The details regarding the rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon.
