Has Indian 2 added Ravi Varman, Lyca Productions?
While we all know that Kamal Haasan will be seen next in Indian 2 - a film said to serve as his political launchpad, latest news on the film is that it might have undergone a producer change. If one may recall, Haasan made the announcement of Indian 2 while hosting the show Bigg Boss Tamil, revealing Shankar to be the director and Tollywood's Dil Raju as the producer. However, buzz in the industry is that Lyca Productions, who are also associated with Rajinikanth's 2.0 will be taking over the production responsibility of Indian 2.
Added to this, cinematographer Ravi Varman who was last seen wielding the camera for Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai in Tamil is being speculated to have bagged the prestigious project. An official confirmation on both these developments is still awaited from the people concerned.
Indian 2 is a sequel to Shankar's 1996 blockbuster hit Indian and is currently said to have begun ground-work, with lead actor Kamal Haasan beginning physical training for his look in the film.
