Powerstar joins Shiva and Santhanam
Powerstar Sreenivasan has grabbed the limelight following the success of his recent release 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya'. The film has been declared a hit by the trade sources. Powerstar will next be part of Shiva Santhanam starrer 'Ya Ya'. Santhanam and Shiva who rocked together in Kalakalappu are teaming up again in a romantic comedy Ya Ya to be directed by Rajasekar, a former assistant to Director Rajesh. Powerstar is the latest to join the cast.
The film shooting is already in progress. Music by Vijay Ebenezer of 'Kalakalappu' fame.
New sill from Mariyaan
Dhanush and Anirudh team up for a new project
Dhanush who is currently busy with Mariyaan and Raanjhnaa is working out the details of a new project where he is set to team up with Anirudh again. The actor who chose not to reveal much details had tweeted, "Jamming with Anirudh for a new film. Would like to keep the details of the project a suspense for now. I'm sure you guys will be thrilled."
Dhanush has turned producer for Shiva Karthikeyan Priya Anand starrer romantic comedy Ethir Neechal directed by Senthil. The film is produced by his home production Wunderbar films. Anirudh has scored the music for 'Ethir Neechal' which was well received by the audience.
Shankar's 'I' progresses in Chennai
Shankar's I, starring Vikram and Amy Jackson, is currently progressing in Chennai. Prior to this schedule, prominent scenes were shot in China and on the outskirts of Chennai. The current schedule is expected to last for two weeks and some important scenes are expected to be filmed. After completing this schedule, the team will fly abroad for canning the song sequences.
Udayanidhi not connected to Vishwaroopam
Kamal's magnum opus Vishwaroopam is slated for a release on January 25. The most awaited film is likely to release in around 500 screens. The DTH premiere of Vishwaroopam will happen on February 2. While Kamal Hassan is busy with the promotions of his film, some sections of media reported that Udaynidhi Stalin is likely to involved in the distribution of Vishwaroopam.
Udayanidhi who is extremly happy with the success of KLTA has denied it as rumours. He had tweeted, "Few websites are carrying news that Red Giant is releasing Ulaganaayagan's VISWAROOPAM! It's NOT TRUE! Right now we are still trying to promote KLTA."
Aadhi Bhagavan for February
Ameer's long in the making film 'Aadhi Bhagavan' is finally set to hit the screens in February. Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra play the lead roles in this action thriller. The release date of the film is yet to be annoucned. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music. the film is produced by J. Anbazhagan. Jayam Ravi is eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
