Rajinikanth's Baasha to be showcased at Fantastic Film Fest

Rajinikanth's blockbuster hit film Baasha was digitally remastered and re-released after 22 years, earlier this year. The film received a rousing reception in the state, proving that it continues to influence fans down south, even to this day. So it was a celebratory moment again when news about Baasha being screened at Fantastic Film Festival was announced recently. 

Fantastic Fest is the largest genre film festival in the US and the digitally remastered version of Baasha will be screened on September 24, 2017 and September 26, 2017. Last year, Kamal Haasan's Tamil thriller Aalavandhan was screened to good reception. Baasha is directed by Suresh Krishna and tells the story of an auto-rickshaw driver who lives with his humble family but has a secret background. The movie was one of the biggest hits of Rajinikanth's career.
