Settai release postponed again

Settai release postponed again

The release date of Settai has been postponed again. The film initially slated for a Pongal release was postponed to February. The makers have now decided to release the film in April since most expected films like Kadal, Paradesi, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga are targeting Feburary release and school exams begin in March.

Dhananjayan of UTV has said, "Entire Settai team is working backwards now to ensure a very good release in 90 days". He also said that the film would be a "Joy Ride" from the start to the end. The film will release in the first week of April. Settai is the remake of 'Delhi Belly' directed by Kannan starring Arya, Santhanam, Premgi Amaren, Anjali and Hansika. Thaman has scored the music.

Chennayil Oru Naal in February

Chennaiyil Oru Naal is a thriller film directed by Shahid Khader. The film is set to hit the screens in February. Radhika Sarathkumkar who is producing the film had tweeted “Chenaiyil Oru Naal, ready for release in Feb. Working on hectic mode, but proud of a film with a strong message. Thanks team and director Shaheed.”

The film features an ensemble cast including Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Cheran, Prasanna, Nassar, Raadhika, Rohini, Parvathi Menon and Remya Nambeesan. Chennaiyil Oru Naal is a remake of the 2011 Malayalam film ‘Traffic’ that intertwines multiple stories around one particular incident. Surya has made a special 'cameo' appearance in the film.

Vijay Adirjaj's 'Puthagam' joins Pongal race

Puthagam is directed by popular TV personality Vijay Adiraj who makes his debut as director. The film is set to hit the screens for Pongal. Arya's brother Sathya, Rakul Preeth Singh and Sanjay Bharathy play the lead roles. James Vasanthan has scored the music.
