A.R. Rahman confirmed for Siddharth's film
Siddharth is set to team up with director Vasantha Balan for a bilingual film to be made in Tamil and Telugu. The Tamil version has been titled 'Kaaviya Thalaivan'. A.R. Rahman will be scoring the music. Siddharth had tweeted, "It’s official. My next film is directed by the acclaimed Vasanthabalan. Music by the one & only A.R.Rahman. We start shoot later in the year. Working with A.R. Rahman after so long. Boys, Ayutha Ezhuthu, Rang de Basanthi and finally our new film. What a feeling!!!"
About his upcoming projects the actor had tweeted, "Jabardhasth, NH 4, Chashme baddoor ready for release soon. Vasanthabalan’s and 2 more new films getting ready to kick off in 2013."

Sundar C's next project ready to roll
Sundar C is set to team up with Siddharth for a film titled 'Theeya Vela Seiyyanum Kumaru'. Hansika plays the female lead. Santhanam and Ganesh Venkatraman play pivotal roles. Sundar C is currently busy wrapping up his comedy caper 'Madha Gaja Raja' with Vishal. His next film is all ready to roll.
Siddharth had tweeted, "Sundar C’s film kicks off next week. Life has no chance of being the same after sundar c & Santhanam. Can’t wait". The film is produced by Khusboo Sundar.
Ajith Vishnu film reaches final schedule
The shooting of Ajith Vishnu's untitled film is progressing in a brisk pace. The team has began shooting the next schedule of the film in Mumbai from New Year. The shooting is currently happening in Bandra area with Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee. Ajith will join the shoot from next week and film will is likely to be completed in this schedule. The film title is yet to be decided and an official annoucement is awaited.
Sasikumar and Samuthirakani to join hands again
Director Samuthirakani is currently directing 'Nimirndhu Nil' with Jayam Ravi in the lead. After he completes the project, he is expected to join Sasikumar for a film. The movie will be a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. It is worth mentioning that Samuthirakani had already directed 'Nadodigal' and 'Poraali' with Sasikumar in the lead.
Aadhi Bhagavan to release soon
Ameer's 'Aadhi Bhagavan' starring Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra, is into the post production stage now. Jayam Ravi had tweeted "Aadhi Bhagavan post production on in full swing. Done with my dubbing! Looking forward to the release." The movie is expected to be released on 24th January. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Kollywood to go on strike
The entire Kollywood industry will go on fast on January 7th to raise their voice against the service tax imposed by the central Government. A service tax of 12.36% is in effect since July this year. All the film industry bodies have decided to protest ahead of the annual budget session. However, all the theatres will remain open across the state.
Nalanum Nandhiniyum bloopers
Nalanum Nandhiniyum is an upcoming romance film written and directed by Venkatesan, a former associate of Venkat Prabhu. Michael Thangadurai and Nandita of 'Attakathi' fame play the lead roles.
