That Karthi's 'Alex Pandian' is set to release for Pongal is old news! The film will hit the screens on January 12, 2013. Initially the film was slated for a release on January 11 along with Vishwaroopam. The makers have pushed the release of the film by a day. The action entertainer is directed by Suraaj and has music by DSP. A grand musical night has been organised by the makers on December 30. DSP will be performing live at the event.
Santhanam's 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' is set to hit the screens on January 13. There seems to be a stiff competition between Vishal's films 'Madha Gaja Raja' and 'Samar' in hitting the screens for Pongal on January 14.
Sonna Puriyadhu audio on Jan 9
Sonna Puriyadhu is a comedy entertainer starring Shiva and Vasundhra Kashyap in lead roles. The film is directed by debutant K. Jayaraj and music has been scored by Yatish Mahadev. The audio of the film will be launched on January 9, 2013.
The film shooting has been wrapped and is in the final stages of post production. Director Jayaraj has tweeted, "Sonna Puriyadhu audio launch on Jan 9. More than happy with the product. Promotions to start from tomorrrow."
Kadal Trailer on Jan 1?
Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' is one of the most expected films which is set to hit the screens on February 1, 2013. The first look trailer from the film is likely to be released on January 1. Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair make their debut in this film. A.R. Rahman has scored the music and the songs are already creating waves among the audience. Arjun, Arvindswamy, Lakshmi Manchu, Pasupathy play supporting roles.
Jiiva's NEP trimmed
Jiiva and Samantha starrer romantic musical Neethane En Ponvasantham directed by Gautham Menon was released worldwide on December 14 and the film opened to mixed reviews from the audience. The latest we hear is director Gautham Menon has decided to trim the film by 10 minutes. As many felt that the film meanders at a sluggish pace with a running time of 153 minutes, the film has been cut short by ten minutes.
Karthi Rajesh's film ready to roll
Director Rajesh is all set to begin work on his next film titled 'All in All Azhaguraja' starring Karthi and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. The film would be another romantic comedy from the director and is likely to go on floors by the end of January next year. Karthi is currently busy shooting for Biriyani directed by Venkat Prabhu. Thaman is scoring the music for All in All Azhaguraja. The film is produced by Studio Green.
