Heroine finalized for Prabhu Solomon's Kumki 2 

Director Prabhu Solomon's Kumki 2 has been in the news for a while now for its lead cast. While Vikram Prabhu is most likely to be retained in the sequel, yesteryear actor Dr. Rajasekhar's daughter Shivani was earlier said to be in consideration for the role. But sources close to the unit had revealed to us that the director was in search of a fresh face preferably from Kerala (much like the heroine of Kumki Lakshmi Menon). Now it has been confirmed that the lead role has been bagged by none other than Adhiti Menon who was last in the news for signing director Ameer's Santhanadevan opposite Arya.  

Kumki 2 is expected to begin shooting in August, 2017 with Sukumar for cinematography and Nivas K Prasanna for the music. Much like its prequel, the film will deal with a love story and feature elephants in it.
