Karthi to team up with 'Attakathi' director

Karthi to team up with 'Attakathi' director

Actor Karthi has reportedly signed a new project with director Ranjith of 'Attakathi' fame. The film has been titled 'Saarpattu Paaramparai' and will be produced by Studio Green. It is worth mentioning that 'Attakathi' was distributed by Studio Green and their promotional strategies worked big time in ensuring the success of the film.

Karthi's current projects include Venkat Prabhu's 'Biriyani' and Rajesh's 'All in All Azhagu Raja'. The Saguni actor is eagerly awaiting the release of Alex Pandian directed by Suraaj.

A.R. Murugadoss kickstarts Hindi 'Thuppakki'

Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal rocked the box office. Director A.R. Murugadoss is on cloud nine following the stupendous success of the movie and is all set to begin the project in Hindi. The Hindi remake of Thuppakki is yet to be titled and the film starts rolling from today. Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha play the lead roles. Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha are teaming up for the fourth time after Rowdy Rathore, Joker and the unreleased 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2'.

Dhanush's 'Raanjhnaa' reaches final schedule

Dhanush is overwhelmed with the response of recently released Ethir Neechal album. The film marks his maiden production venture and music has been scored by Anirudh. The actor has expressed his joy in his microblog. He had tweeted, "Thanks for making Ethir Neechal audio a big hit." 

Dhanush will be joining Raanjhnaa team for the final schedule of shoot which begins today. The film would be his Bollywood debut flick directed by Anand L Rai. Sonam Kapoor plays the female lead. Music score by A.R. Rahman. His other project Mariyaan is also inching towards completion. The actor will team up with director Sargunam next for Sotta Vazhakutty.

Simbu's 'Vaalu' Climax fight shoot

Simbu is currently shooting for Vaalu, a comedy entertainer directed by Vijay Chander. Simbu, Hansika, Santhanam and VTV Ganesh play the lead roles. The film shooting is progressing in brisk pace and the climax scene is currently being shot. A fight sequence is being canned with Simbu. The makers are planning to release the film for Pongal. Music score by Thaman.

NKPK remake in Telugu?

The recently released comedy caper Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (NKPK) received rave reviews from the audience for its comedy content. Vijay Sethupathy and Gayathiri played the lead roles in NKPK directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan. The plot revolves around a young man who forgets a few days of his life, even as he is about to get married. NKPK is likely to be remade in Telugu with Allari Naresh playing the lead. Allari Naresh had starred in 'Sudigadu', which was a remake of CS Amudhan's 'Tamil Padam'.
