Gautham takes up an international issue!
That Suriya and Gautham Menon would join hands next year for a film is an old news. The latest buzz is that the film will deal with some important international issues and will be shot in international locations. The movie will be produced by Gautham Menon himself. Meanwhile, Gautham Menon's Neethaane En Ponvasantham released last week and Suriya is currently working in Singam 2 with Hari.

Jiiva off to Hyderabad for Yaan
Jiiva's recent release 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' has got mixed response from audience. The KO actor will be joining the team of Yaan for the next schedule in Hyderabad from today. The film kickstarted in Mumbai and lasted for a week. Similar to Mumbai, a high intense action sequence is to be shot in Hyderabad for a week.
Jiiva had tweeted, "Off to Hyderabad for Yaan! Looking forward for a fab week ahead!" Thulasi Nair who is making her debut in Mani Ratnam's Kadal plays the female lead. Music by Harris Jayaraj. Jiiva's other projects include Bejoy Nambiar's 'David' and 'Endrendrum Punnagai'.
Indian music directors in the Oscar race
Even as A. R. Rahman's Kadal songs are hypnotizing the listeners, he has been nominated for the Oscars again. A. R. Rahman has been shortlisted for 'Original Background Score' at the 85th Academy Awards. He will be competing for his work in his latest Hollywood film 'People Like Us'. Also, Mollywood music composer Sreevalsan J Menon has also been shortlisted in the same category for his work in 'Saint Dracula'. The final nominations will be announced on February 10th and the awards will be given on February 24th. Will they bring home another Oscar?
CS Amudhan's 'Rendavathu Padam' on wrap-up mode
'Rendavathu Padam' is an upcoming comedy caper directed by C.S. Amudhan of 'Thamizh Padam' fame. Vimal, Aravind Akash, Richard, Vijayalakshmi and Ramya Nambeesan play the lead roles. The shooting of the film is currently in progress. CS Amudhan has tweeted, "Today we wrap up shooting of our talkie-portion. Only 2 songs remaining. Our audio should be out shortly." Music by Kannan. The teaser of the film has already triggered a good response from the audience.

Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) is a multi-starrer movie starring Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Samantha and Anjali in lead roles. Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu are playing brothers in this family entertainer while Anjali and Samantha will be seen as their love interests. The film is directed by Srikanth Addala. The film is scheduled to be released on January 11, 2013
