Kajal Aggarwal not a part of this sequel film

Actress Kajal Aggarwal may have major releases lined up with two of Tamil cinema's biggest heroes - Vivegam with Ajith and Mersalwith Vijay; but seems like the actress will not be a part of the sequel of a hit franchise with Dhanush. As many would recall, Kajal played the conniving yet cute girl-next-door in director Balaji Mohan's hit film Maari. The movie's climax showed her character trying to initiate a conversation with the lead actor but the hero cutting her short and the two parting with friendly smiles. Apprently this scene is suggestive of the fact that the actress would not be a part of the sequel film. 

Maari 2 will have Dhanush reprising his role of the titular character and actors Robo Shankar and Vinod reprising the role of his side-kicks. Shooting of the film is expected to commence from September, 2017 with casting to begin from August, 2017. While the earlier film Maari was a joint production of Listin Stephen, Magic Frames and Wunderbar Films, it has not known yet as to who would bankroll Maari 2. On the professional front Dhanush is awaiting the release of VIP 2, Ennai Noki Payyum Thota and Vada Chennai while Balaji Mohan is basking in the glory of his digital series As I'm suffering from Kaadhal.
