Velayutham is expected to take a mega opening in Europe while 7am Arivu lags behind in terms of screen count in that region. Ayngaran is going all out in leveraging its network in Europe which runs 'wide' as well as 'deep'. Ayngaran has opted for an aggressive release strategy knowing very well that they can rely on Vijay's strong fan base in major European cities.

Velayudham is also expected to open new markets by releasing in many new locations for the first time ever. Velayudham will release in more than 20 screens in Denmark, Holland and other Scandinavian countries.

• The BO record for biggest opening is held by Endhiran in the UK with collection of £278,000.
• Vijay's previous best opening stands at £77,500 for Kuruvi.
• If the word of mouth happens to be positive, Velayudham can potentially exceed £170,000 made by Sivaji the Boss.
