Alex Pandian sold for record price

Alex Pandian sold for record price

Alex Pandian starring Karthi, Anushka and Santhanam in lead roles is set to hit the screens for Pongal next year. The Malayalam rights of Alex Pandian has reportedly been sold for a record price of Rs 1.10 Crores. The rights have been acquired by Sayujyam, who earlier released Karthi's 'Saguni'. This is the highest price for a Karthi film so far. Meanwhile, audio of the film will be launched on December 12. The film is directed by Suraj and music by Devi Sri Prasad.

Vijay praises SOI team

Vijay had watched a special screening of Sattum Oru Iruttarai which is the remake of 1981 blockbuster with the same name directed by S.A. Chandrashekar. The Thuppakki actor had liked the film and prasied the team for the efforts. Pia Bajpai has tweeted, "Yes! Thalapathy Vijay saw the film and he loved it. Me and my diretor Sneha jumping on phone." The film is set to hit the screens on December 21. Thaman, Pia Bajpai, Bindhu Madhavi and Reema Sen play the lead roles. The film is directed by debutant Sneha under the guidance of S.A. Chandrashekhar. 

Amy joins 'I' team in Chennai

The shooting of Shankar's 'I' starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles is progressing well. The team had completed a 45 day long schedule in China. The next schedule of the film has started in Chennai. Some important action sequences are to be shot in the schedule. Amy Jackson has joined the Chennai shoot from yesterday. Amy had tweeted, "Now onto work mode in Chennai for I" A.R. Rahman is scoring the music.

Sneha turns dubbing artist

Sneha is happy to have signed her first film post her marriage. She will be playing the lead opposite Prakash Raj in 'Un Samayal Arayil' which is the remake of Malayalam film 'Salt N Pepper'. The film will be directed by Prakash Raj. Sneha is said to be playing the role of a dubbing artist in the film. She is also eagerly awaiting the release of her upcoming film 'Haridas' directed by GNR Kumaravelan.

Aadhi Taapsee's film gets 'U'

Maranthen Mannithen (Telugu Gundello Godhari) is an upcoming bilingual film starring Aadhi, Taapse Pannu and Lakshmi Manchu in lead roles. The film has cleared the censor with 'U' certificate. The film is based on the floods which affected Godavari in the year 1986. The film is directed by Kumar Nagendra and produced by Lakshmi Manchu. Ilayaraja has scored the music. 

After Earth Trailer

The first look trailer of M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming sci-fi thriller After Earth has been released. The movie is about a father (Will Smith) and son (Jaden Smith) who are involved in a crash landing and explore a planet that was evacuated by humans 1,000 years earlier. After Earth will be out on June 7 2013.
