Costly set erected for Biriyani
The shooting of Karthi, Hansika, Premgi starrer Biriyani is progressing well. The team recently wrapped a schedule in Pondicherry and the next schedule will begin in Chennai shortly. The latest news is that a Hotel set worth a crore is being erected for the film.
Major action sequences and few songs are likely to be shot in this set. Yuvan is scoring the music and the film is produced by Studio Green.

Santhanam to turn a director?
Santhanam, who usually stays away from the media and spotlight has recently opened up in an interview to a daily. On his long-term goal, he states that he would like to write a script and direct a movie, akin to Hangover. He adds that he would also act in it.
Santhanam has back to back films lined up for release. Jiiva's Neethaane En Ponvasantham is releasing on December 14 and his maiden home production film 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiyaa' is slated for release on December 21.
Sattam Oru Iruttarai release postponed
The remake of 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai' under the same name was initially slated for release on December 14. The release date of the film has now been pushed to December 21. The movie is censored with 'U/A' certificate. Directed by debutant Sneha Britto, the movie has Thaman, Bindu Madhavi, Piaa Bajpai and Reema Sen in the lead roles. Music is by Vijay Antony.
A.R. Rahman's song after two years
A.R. Rahman is gearing up for the audio launch of Mani Ratnam's Kadal which is set to happen on December 17. A second single 'Elay Keechan' from the film will be aired from December 10. A.R. Rahman has crooned for the song. It's been two years since Rahman had rendered his voice for a Tamil song, the last being Endhiran which was released in 2010. The first single 'Nenjikulle' from the film has already clicked with the audience. Get ready to hear the voice of the music legend in a couple of days!
