Reputed filmmaker K.R.Mohanan no more

One of Mollywood’s reputed director K.R.Mohanan passed away earlier owing to gastrointestinal disease. Mohanan was being treated for the disease at Trivandrum for the last few days, however he succumbed to the disease on Sunday. He was the recipient of Kerala state award twice for Ashwathama (1978) and Purushartham (1987).    

An acclaimed documentary maker that he was, he was also known for his roles at International film festivals of Kerala and also being a chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy
