Nayanthara to replace Shruthi Haasan in Sangamithra?
Days after the dramatic exit of Shruthi Haasan from director Sundar.C's most ambitious project Sangamithra, news about actress Nayanthara being approached for the role has been afloat within the industry circles. While on one hand, reports suggest that the actress is yet to give her nod to the film with Nayanthara's high renumeration coming in as the only obstacle in materializing this casting, on the other hand, Aditi Ravindranath, executive producer of Sri Thenandal Films, which is bankrolling Sangamithra was seen neither denying nor accepting this news.
For the uninitiated, Sangamithra is a magnum opus in the making which was initially announced with Shruthi Haasan, Arya and Jayam Ravi in the lead. Haasan even reportedly took a 3 month sword fighting class and the movie made a debut announcement at the International Cannes Festival earlier this year. But due to the lack of a bound script and date allotment issues, Shruthi later opted out of the project.
Sangamithra is bankrolled by Sri Thrnandal Films and has A.R.Rahman for the music. The movie is said to be the story of a warrior princess and will be released in 2 parts.
